Like it…Granular is a great method to be used for all kind of echoes and this tool reveals it!
Presets :I has some dozen presets of great variety- a few “normal” ones – lush delays- and the most stuff really weird, wacky from superlush to rhythmic to completely distorting the original sound.
Found them usefull for experimental sound design, they really change a sound greatly.
UI: It’s not the most straight forward thing, as there is no schema explaining how the effects are interdepending, but it’s also not overly complex- you can just play around with the buttons most of the time.
It’s not made for subtle control, but you can achieve a wide range of effects- some of the underlying factors aren’t exposed that would help to understand. But as long as you start with existing presets and tweak them, all fine. Really love the “Smear” one, gives the delay a very lush, soft quality. “Grains” itself cannot be controlled that much a bit of randomness around it, guess that is wanted.
Something between a tool and a sandbox. CPU load is quite little for what it all does, most of the time. (tested in Bitwig).
Very good price for what it all does. Hopefully they add a few more subtle effects or a main knob for mixing in the effect more controlled.
